Yes, You Can Go To College!

Thinking about going to college? You got this!
New York sees you and believes in you. Higher
education has the power to change lives and Governor Hochul has ensured that every high school graduate now has a guaranteed seat at a SUNY community college — and there’s financial aid, Pell and TAP, for those who need it.

Whatever your dreams for your future self, higher education and specialized training can open the door and light the path. A successful career and a happy life await!

All Dutchess county ninth to twelfth graders interested in learning more are invited to attend our half-day ‘Future Stars’ workshop on October 13th, from 9am -1 PM on the campus of Dutchess Community College. Lunch will be provided.

The program starts with a screening of the new documentary, ‘American Dream/American Nightmare’ profiling four New Yorkers who defied the odds and escaped poverty by enrolling in college and seizing opportunities. These women, along with a panel of experts, will answer your questions about higher education (the application process, financial aid options,
Professional certificates like: auto technician, paralegal, licensed practical nurse, etc. career paths, anything you want to learn!)
